Beads and Beading

Just finished reading Jane’s post on Chilly Hollow!  Great essays everywhere about beads and much more!  Her post made me think about a couple needlepoint projects that show different ways to use beads and a couple projects that show LOTS of beading!!!  One of the projects belongs to Fredna – she is also working on another project and we were selecting threads and she kept saying “Well yeah or maybe I could bead that area?!  Well yeah or maybe I could bead that area?!  Well yeah or maybe I could bead that area?!”   Fredna says she is so INTO beading!  She is a beading machine!!!

Oh my gosh!!!!!

Oh my gosh- are we in for a treat???  I visited the site of our upcoming retreat…Farmlinks and let me tell you we ARE in for a real treat!!!  It is unbelievably gorgeous and the accommodations are even more than I anticipated!  I said  ”Can we come up Thursday?” needless to say they told me “You do not have reservations until Friday” but  forget Thursday or Friday – I could have just opted to stay today!  I did take some photos and I CAN “call” a longhorn and if you do not believe me – just ask Carolyn!!  SEE YOU AT THE RETREAT!

Not too long ago…

…I wrote a post about a stocking that had all kinds…ALL KINDS of embellishments!  Well I have more photos of that particular stocking along with another canvas (Maggie Co) belonging to the same customer and she has once again exhibited her wonderful creative side!  Karen has many sides though!!!  She not only does beautiful and creative stitching…she bakes, she gardens, she cans, she travels (lives in two places), she owns a couple businesses – she does it all…and she is so darn NICE!!  Thanks Karen for being you!!!

Love the background!!!

This background is awesome!!!  Check it out…creative, talented stitcher Anne did this background on her Carol Dupree “Alabama” Santa and it definitely added that special something!  Love the beard, too!  To find great beard ideas…call us and order “Beards I had known”…a great book with nothing but stitch ideas for beards!

Beth!

One of my sweet customers from up the interstate came by the shop and wanted to show me her finished canvas…Beth is one creative lady, not afraid to try anything and a great stitcher!  She had selected a nice variety of threads from ThreadworX Over dyed Floss to Splendor to Vineyard Merino Wool to River Silk Ribbons!!  Enjoy the photos!  Thanks for sharing Beth!
