  • clouds
  • flowers
  • mountains
  • grass
  • sand
  • shrubbery
  • sky
  • snow
  • soil
  • stone
  • trees
  • water

 

The second thing I want to share with you is something I have meant to mention long before now— sample canvas…we use this method in some of our classes.  You get a piece of canvas, tape it, etc and literally stitch each stitch from some source like this great little green book…you can categorize them like “clouds, grass” or just stitch them and mark them by the book title!

I have recently started making a Samples canvas of June McKnight’s Spooky Stitches…I am just stitching all the stitches one by one… all on one canvas…Great way to learn about them, stitch them and have a great stitched reference of them!
