How to mention it all?!

I seem to work hard at composing a post and/or email and then inevitably I have left something out!   Could possibly be a sign of age? but I think it is because we have lots going on at The Bug!!  Our year is full of Trunk Shows starting with Princess and Me (going on right now with 25% off!) to Little Canvas Shoppe Company and ending with Lee’s Needleart!!  Check out our calendar -month to month- to see all our scheduled trunk shows!  But here is a list of some of the participating vendors along with their websites:

Colors of Praise
Melissa Shirley
Trubey
DEDE Ogden
Sandra Gilmore
Maggie Co
Kathy Schenkel
Needledeeva

2012 brings classes, too…Julia Key Snyder, Janeann Sleeman and Robin King to just name a few of the teachers!!!  Caroline Adams teaches the BUILD A STITCH NOTEBOOK class each month…a great way to not only learn decorative stitches but a great way to learn when, where and how to use them!

March of this year The Bug is holding first ever RETREAT and it is guaranteed to be a treat…We will be heading to FARMLINKS to spend the weekend with Julia Key Snyder for a weekend of stitching…what more could we ask for…?!?!?

Definitely check our calendar on a regular basis and sign up for our email notices!

How do I mention it all?!?!?

Day 2 with Julia

Finally I have uploaded the photos from Saturday December 3 which was our day 2 this month with Julia Key Snyder!  I found I really did not take very many photos but do not let that lead you to believe we did not have fun or learn a lot!!!  We had a wide variety of canvases – Beth’s Patty Paints vase of flowers, Robin’s Color of Praise bracelet, Amber’s Bird’s of a Feather patriotic piece, Caroline’s Nativity set, Sherry’s Melissa Shirley bracelet, Judy’s cross from Sundance, Melissa’s saying “WHO CARETH”, Carol’s tobacco leaf pattern, Kim’s piece by yours truly, Ellen’s Patty Paints tulips and butterfly, Pam’s Patty Paints animal parade!!

Talkin’ about Caroline again!!!

I just can not help myself!!!  I am talking about Caroline’s stitching again!!!  Well we did discuss today how she does come in The Bug at least 2 to 3 times a week and she does finish LOTS and LOTS of pieces!! Well anyway here is another fabulous piece of hers…a Melissa Shirley purse piece…lots of beads, beautiful threads and a great stitches including one for the background using gloriana silk…we learned the stitch  from Terry Dryden and her Tropical Jazz!  And while speaking of the Tropical Jazz, I have also included photos of another fabulous BUG stitcher…Carolyn!  Not to be confused with Caroline…Carolyn has her own arsenal of finished projects!  I will definitely plan to show more of hers soon!!!

Here is Carolyn’s Tropical Jazz by Terry Dryden!!!  BEAUTIFUL!!

Pondering Post

I have been pondering a post about one of my customers that stitches like nobody’s business if you know what I mean….I even wrote a little poem about her -

There is a sweet lady named Caroline
She seemingly stitches all of the time
Ornaments, headbands, houses and such
How could any one person stitch so much?!
A tree topper, a purse, a chair or two
What? or what else could this lady possibly do!
A pile of pillows, a nativity, a wall hanging, WOW
I am a little green-eyed…
But to tell you the truth- I don’t even have the know how!
Sweet, sweet Caroline, a stitcher extraordinaire
There is not anyone like you
No! oh no! –  not anywhere!

Here are some photos of Caroline and her pieces!!  Have more and will post hopefully tomorrow!
